When we were kids the horizon seemed so much brighter our anxious happiness we were free of all this guilt and stress our innocence so expendable just sitting in my room waiting to grow up and now my closet overflows with old bones and memories and things this house is not a home to me its just a shelter from all of lifes challenges and the miseries that weigh on theres in my room where responsibilities go to die they sit in there for months accumulating dirt and dust terrified of what i might a question thats answered with the test of time we're not where we choose to be i feel like a ghost being forced to breathe my fountains run dry and im ready to leave just untie my veins and set me free we're not where we choose to be
